The Conceptual Politics of Struggle

Abstract


This paper traces a crucial process whereby the efforts of feminist activists concerned with wife beating have been transformed and absorbed into existing institutional structures. The result of this process is that, although we have achieved much and are still working, struggling and angry, the sites of our struggles are dispersed, disconnected and depoliticized.
