Capital and Agriculture: A Review of Marxian Problematics

Abstract


Marxist literature presents conflicting analyses of the persistence or disappearance of non-capitalist forms of production within capitalist economies. Some clarification is possible by regrouping this literature on the basis of the approach used to analyse the problem. The classification scheme I propose consists of three broad categories, each reflecting a somewhat different problematic.
