Corporatism in Canada

Leo Panitch

Abstract

The world of social science is sometimes like the world of bourgeois fashion. Concepts, like clothes, are trendy, and as a particular concept becomes fashionable among social scientists, there is a tendency for some societies to be fitted in conceptual attire which is unsuitable for them, occasionally grotesquely so. This phenomenon is visible today with the current fashionability of the concept of "corporatism."
