Abstract

While the trade representatives of many developed
countries have argued that the failure of the WTO
negotiations in Seattle last Fall could be explained by the
lack of preparation, and perhaps a lack of transparency, for the Left the battle of Seattle seems to represent a turning point in resisting globalization and the encroaching power of capital over societies.
